🧬 Genetics
Derived from Tiger / Taiwan Bee crosses
OE (Orange Eyes) is a recessive trait and requires careful breeding to maintain
Selective breeding goals:
Intense solid red body
Bright and stable orange eyes
🌡️ Care Requirements
Red Devil OE shrimp, like other Caridina OE lines, are sensitive to water conditions:
Temperature: 20–24°C
pH: 5.5–6.5
GH: 4–6
KH: 0–1
TDS: 100–150 ppm
Substrate: active shrimp soil recommended to maintain stable parameters
They are prone to stress and color fading if water parameters fluctuate.
🍃 Behavior & Breeding
Peaceful and social
Best kept in species-only tanks to maintain genetic purity
Breeds in freshwater
OE trait requires controlled pairings
Moderate breeding difficulty; more sensitive than Neocaridina
