It belongs to the high-grade Tiger / Taiwan Bee lines and carries the OE (Orange Eyes) recessive trait, prized for its intense black body with striking orange eyes.🔎 Appearance
Body color: deep black, often opaque, giving a “devil-like” dramatic look
Pattern: but high-grade specimens are solid black

Males: smaller, slightly lighter
High-grade Black Devil OE shrimp show uniform black bodies with clean, vivid OE eyes, creating a high-contrast visual effect.
🧬 Genetics
Derived from Tiger / Taiwan Bee lines
OE (Orange Eyes) is a recessive trait, requiring controlled breeding
Selective breeding goals:
Maximum body blackness
Clear, stable orange eyes
Reduced or subtle striping
🌡️ Care Requirements
As a Caridina OE shrimp, Black Devil OE is sensitive to water parameters:
Temperature: 20–24°C
pH: 5.5–6.5
GH: 4–6
KH: 0–1
TDS: 100–150 ppm
Substrate: active shrimp soil recommended for stable water chemistry
Sudden changes in water chemistry or high hardness can cause stress, molting problems, or color loss.
🍃 Behavior & Breeding
Peaceful and colony-oriented
Best kept in species-only tanks to maintain line quality
Breeds in freshwater
OE trait requires selective pairing
Moderate difficulty, more sensitive than Neocaridina
