It belongs to the Tiger / Taiwan Bee lines and carries the OE (Orange Eyes) recessive trait, prized for its deep blue body with bright orange eyes, creating a strong color contrast in aquariums.🔎 Appearance
Body color: blue, ranging from lighter blue to solid royal blue

Eyes: vivid orange (OE) — main distinguishing feature
Size: ~1.5cm (unsexed juveniles)

Males: smaller, lighter or more translucent
High-grade Blue Devil OE show intense solid blue with clean, bright orange eyes, giving a dramatic visual effect.
🧬 Genetics
Derived from Tiger / Taiwan Bee crosses
OE (Orange Eyes) is a recessive trait, requiring controlled breeding
Selective breeding focuses on:
Deep, uniform blue body
Stable OE eyes
Minimal or subtle striping
🌡️ Care Requirements
Blue Devil OE shrimp require stable, soft, acidic water, similar to other Caridina OE lines:
Temperature: 20–24°C
pH: 5.5–6.5
GH: 4–6
KH: 0–1
TDS: 100–150 ppm
Substrate: active shrimp soil recommended
They are sensitive to sudden water changes or high mineral content, which can affect coloration and molting.
🍃 Behavior & Breeding
Peaceful and colony-oriented
Species-only tanks recommended for selective breeding
Breeds in freshwater
OE trait requires selective pairing
Moderate breeding difficulty; more sensitive than Neocaridina
